New set of OLD & NOT-SO-OLD PIX
Note the sign about "6X6" trucks. Military get-up was common even among civilians...
1930's or 1950's
My late aunt travelled first to SUBIC in 1935... Years later, she would follow AMERICAN troops who landed in BATANGAS in 1944-1945 (the 11TH AIRBORNE DIVISION) to ZAMBALES & OLONGAPO where she would found her business...Clear view of Baguio Cathedral
Man flirting with diSASTER of my two AUNTS. My mother (single then) & an unidentified man (not my father) flirting at Baguio's MVPark... Had I been there, I would have pushed a little the man to the left & he would have become a skydiver without any parachute... HISTORY would have changed & things would be completely different... And the place most likely would have been called DEAD MAN'S FALLs... or something similar... MORBID? Actually this is an excellent introduction to the Philosophy/Metaphysics of TIME... How can I do something that will affect the future when I was not yet born then?...
The last luxury car of my late aunt: a white FORD LTD, my father's car - a light-brown FORD TAUNUS & mu brother's small but fast cream FORD ESCORT... Of course, now we do not own even a single TIRE...
